On 7-11 September 2026, Prof. dr hab. Joanna Misztal-Konecka, President of the Supreme Court heading the Civil Chamber, paid a visit to the Supreme Court of Lithuania. The visit was part of an exchange programme organised by the Network of the Presidents of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union.
Next year, the Supreme Court will celebrate the 110th anniversary of its establishment. The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has announced its intention to issue a collector coin in 2027 to commemorate this important landmark for Polish statehood. The initiative was put forward to the NBP by the First President of the Supreme Court, Zbigniew Kapiński, and was also supported by the Stanisław Pomian-Srzednicki Foundation.
In connection with the public statements made by the Minister of Justice on 4 August 2026 on the TVP Info in the programme ‘Pytanie dnia’ [‘Question of the Day’], I express my outrage and concern regarding the Minister’s systematic and persistent efforts to create a narrative that has a clear political dimension, but above all undermines the stability and constitutional order in Poland.
