​The President of the Republic of Poland, by decision of 11 March 2024, ordered the election of 53 Members of the European Parliament for 9 June 2024.

The rules and procedure for the organisation of the election to the European Parliament are governed by the Act of 5 January 2011 - Electoral Code (Journal of Laws 2023, item 2408 as amended). In matters related to the conduct of election to the European Parliament, the Act lists in a detailed and enumerative form the activities of the Supreme Court, which include:

• examining complaints against the decision of the National Electoral Commission on refusal to accept a notification of setting up of the election committee in the election to the European Parliament;
• examining complaints against the decision of the National Electoral Commission on refusal to register a list of candidates in the election to the European Parliament;
• examining complaints against the resolution of the National Electoral Commission on guidelines and explanations;
• examining election protests against the validity of the election to the European Parliament or against the election of a Member of the European Parliament;
• adoption of a resolution on the validity of the election to the European Parliament and on the validity of the election of a Member of the European Parliament.

The Supreme Court will publish on its website the most important information concerning the rules and procedure for lodging the aforementioned complaints and protests, as well as information on the examined cases and adopted resolutions.
